Waterway building to be demolished in late spring of 2017
Montgomery County Officials are working with demolition contractors and The Woodlands Township to prepare for a planned demolition project slated to take place over the next 6 weeks, culminating with the implosion of the existing 11-story Timberloch building on the site.
The existing parking structure next to the tower will be demolished first by conventional means over the next few weeks, while preparations and planning continues for the implosion, tentatively scheduled for the middle of April.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office will be reviewing the plans for the implosion project, in collaboration with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Township Officials and the Pct. 3 Constable’s Office.
Officials with Montgomery County Pct. 3 Commissioner James Noack’s office will be working with the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office to review the demolition project’s traffic plans to minimize any impact to residents and visitors.
Additional updates will be provided as the project moves forward.
